Hacking usually refers to the activity in which someone breaks or “hacks” into computers and computer networks for profit, in protest, or because they are motivated by the challenge.

The term ‘life hacks‘ differs in that it is a phrase which describes tricks, shortcuts, skills, or novelty methods to increase productivity and efficiency, in a persons life. To put it another way, it’s anything that solves an everyday problem in a clever or non-obvious way. They are often thought of as “life pro tips“.

  1. That thumbdrive life pro tip saved my college thesis. I had it stored on a thumbdrive I was working on and went home after I was finished in the lab. Instead of going home, my friends sidetracked me at the bar. Some point during the night, I lost the drive. When I woke up it was gone. I had an intense panic attack. I was getting ready to leave the dorm and head up to the bar to ask around and a girl came up to my room and handed it to me. She had found it, loaded it up and saw the information file. I was saved! Thanks Alicia!

Do it. For the love of all that is holy, always put an information file on your thumb drive.
